This gave her the opportunity to lead walking clubs, which developed into training with other moms for 5k’s and duathlons. Amy found getting other individuals involved in a healthy lifestyle to be so gratifying that she decided to make fitness her second career. She believes the key to writing the most effective program is achieved by listening to the client. Amy is currently on the advisory board for the Highline Community College Personal Fitness Training Program. She has been involved in dance, gymnastics, basketball, swimming & now stays active through hiking along with other activities. Jaime attended Highline Community College & received her personal training credential (AAS). Jaime did her internship at Valley Medical Center where she worked with rehab patients as well as Olympic athletes. Today you can find Jaime hiking Mount Si or dancing through the HAC locker rooms. She has been involved in fitness for 15 years and has been a professional fitness trainer for 4 years. Karen understands the emotional side of obesity as well as its challenges, having lost 85lbs herself and has kept it off for 10 years. Karen is also a type II diabetic and has dealt with the ups and downs of this disease and what it takes to stay healthy nutrition wise. She believes that making “Lifestyle changes” is the key to health and wellness and she does this with understanding and personality, making fitness fun! Karen is committed to helping clients of all fitness levels and empowering them to believe in themselves and what they REALLY can do! She approaches most of her personal training on “Functional Training” a program based on exercises for daily living such as dealing with balance, stability, core, mobility and flexibility.
